For some reason I bought a motorcycle. I was 23???

Then I moved to California??

My first bike was a Kawasaki Enduro in 1973. 400 Big Horn. Two weeks after moving to California it was stolen!!!

I purchased my first Street Bike in 1974. An XS650 vertical twin Yamaha. Great, fun bike. Wish I still had it.

I upgraded to a Kawasaki 900Z in 1976. Rode cross country twice on it. After 6 months it was stolen too.

I then purchased a 1977 XS750 triple Yamaha. It soon had mechanical problems, so it was swapped for a 1978 XS750 triple Yamaha.

All this time since I moved to California I did not own a car, only the Motorcycles. In 1977 I met Cathie and life changed. Soon I bought a car, then a house and had a very busy business of my own. Fast forward 30 some years and I still have my 1978 XS750 Yamaha in Flagstaff, Arizona.

I had watched the evolution of motorcycles over the years and marveled at the new Sport Bikes. I decided to buy a used bike for the first time, a 2005 Honda CBR1000rr. Holy Moly!!! I had no idea. It was an unbelievable jump in technology. Until you ride a modern "Liter Bike" you don't know the meaning of power to weight ratio.

About the time I got my CBR1000rr I was offered the opportunity to ride a race prepared bike at track days at Firebird Raceway in Phoenix. No hesitation, and it was a great experience and advanced my performance riding skills.

All of my bikes except my first Enduro bike are pictured here. I can't explain the change of my hair color... LOL
